How to Install and Run NinjaCompress on macOS

Welcome to the NinjaCompress Beta!

Thank you for trying out the beta version of NinjaCompress!

Because the app is currently in active development and not yet submitted to Apple for notarization, macOS may display a security warning when you first try to open it. You might see a message like "NinjaCompress is damaged and can't be opened" or "macOS cannot verify the developer of NinjaCompress".

This is a standard macOS security feature (Gatekeeper) for beta apps downloaded from outside the Mac App Store. You can bypass this easily.

Installation Steps:

1. Download and Open the DMG

Double-click the NinjaCompress.dmg file you downloaded.

2. Drag to Applications

Drag the NinjaCompress.app icon into the Applications folder alias provided in the window.

3. Open Terminal

Press Cmd + Space to open Spotlight, type Terminal, and press Enter.

4. Run the Beta Fix Command

Copy and paste the exact command below into your Terminal and press Enter:

xattr -rc /Applications/NinjaCompress.app

5. Launch the App

You can now go to your Applications folder and double-click NinjaCompress to open it safely. The warning will no longer appear!
